GGCR supports families in need!

jim-marshallEarlier this month on April 2, 2014, tragedy struck four families from the Riverwood Farms Subdivision in Greer SC when their homes and all of their possessions were completely destroyed by a fire started by a recklessly, discarded cigarette. The four families including two infants, a two year old, a six year old and a thirteen year old, were left with nothing. Go Green Charity Recyclers in South Carolina sprang into action gathering clothing, shoes, and toys for the families from our Greenville thrift store and our warehouse located in Greer. Harvest Hope Food Bank also pitched in and dropped off three pallets of food and water for the families at our warehouse. Go Green Charity Recyclers was able to deliver these items to the families when they were in the highest need of help.Donations
On May 10th Go Green Charity Recyclers will be participating in a fundraiser for the families at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Recreation Field in Greer, SC. This will be a fun family event with all kinds of planned activities for children. Go Green Charity Recyclers will be on site collecting direct donations for these families, and any used and clothing shoes for our textile recycling services. Go Green Charity Recyclers will also make a donation to the families for all of the clothing and shoes collected at our drive during this event. So come out, visit us at our booth, and rally with the community to support the affected families!
Clothes-DonationsHere at Go Green Charity Recyclers we feel privileged to be able to help. Our mission is to convert used clothing and shoe donations into a valuable asset that is used to promote education and help our neighbors in need! Recently one of the children left homeless by the fire visited our warehouse and lit up the building with his smile and energy, further validating all of our efforts. We will continue to support these families and have offered storage space in our warehouse for the collection of any larger donation items such as furniture.
